Perched atop a grassy green hill just off 11th Street sits a white two-story home from the 1870s that once housed a Huntsville institution for more than 30 years. During its time, The Junction was considered the go-to place for families to have dinner in celebration of loved one’s birthdays, anniversaries and graduations, as well as holidays and other special occasions. It attracted famous Texans, including former President George W. Bush, comedian Paul Lynde, Major League Baseball Hall-of-Famer Nolan Ryan and even four-time Olympic track and field gold medalist Jesse Owens. The steak and seafood restaurant officially closed its doors in 2012 after original owners William and Christa Wood decided it was time to close up shop and put the property on the market.
