Postcard from E. Lucas to Lucy Dodge, discussing the safety of a boxy Lucy sent her, her own illness, and the city of Boerne, Texas. The postcard features a photograph, colored in with ink, of a driveway along the side of a tall sloping hill and the surrounding area. Further down the winding dirt drive, there is a suspension bridge across the road. The environment has lots of scrub brush and small, bushy trees.

Letter also contains note dated July 8, 1943 to Mrs. Larsen from Cecelia McKie that asks Mrs. Larsen to forward the message to the P.O.W.'s family, as the letter was returned in the mail. She asks Mrs. Larsen for Canadian maps, as she is now hearing messages broadcast from Canadian prisoners.
