A letter written to Major Tom Carswell, Commanding 10th Battalion, Texas Defense Guard, from Frank L. Turner, Captain, Infantry, 10th Battalion, Texas Defense Guard, McMurry College, Abilene, Texas, dated August 20, 1941. Turner advises Carswell that he has enclosed a copy of a letter that he received from the office of Col. Bannister, deems the enclosed letter self-explanatory and assures Carswell of his interest in the guard and of his desire to be of service. Typewritten on McMurry College letterhead bearing Nekoosa BOND watermark.
