Knickerbocker expresses his appreciation for the manner and attitude shown by Carswell during the Induction Inspection and compliments the talk he made describing it as very effective.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas from Milton Whiting, Whiting Oil Company, Clifton Forge, Virginia, dated November 5, 1948. Whiting acknowledges his receipt of Carswell's letter and check and asks about Byrd and her broken arm. He advises that he has Carswell's car which is a black 4-door Chevrolet sedan and describes breaking it in. He explains details regarding the registration of the vehicle and the emphasizes the confidentiality of the sale. He advises that he will be adding a hot water heater and servicing it, and, also, of the requirements regarding a rust inhibitor and of the estimated cost of the car.

A Western Union telegram sent to Major B. L. Maloney, San Antonio, Texas, from T. N. Carswell, General Chairman dated April 5, 1941. Carswell discloses plans that both the reservations and the reception are to be at the Wooten Hotel.

A letter addressed to Honorable Francis B. Sayer, U. S. High Commissioner, Manila, Philippine Islands, from T. N. Carswell, For the Committee, Committee on Americanism, American Legion, dated December 5, 1941. The letter discusses the promotion of a "What is Americanism?" campaign. The campaign is defined as "seeking more light in the form of a contribution", the contribution being the answer to the question, "What is Americanism?". The answer will then be used "to help stimulate an American Revival comparable in results to the periods of the Revolution, the Making of the Constitution, and the Civil War" stressing that the country's destiny depends on these answers.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Chairman, 17th District Foreign Relations Committee, The American Legion, Abilene, Texas, from Albert L. Stell, Commander, 17th District, The American Legion, Anson, Texas, dated February 5, 1945. Stell requests a full representation of his Committee at the Mid-Winter War Conference in Abilene, Texas on February 18, 1945 in the Ball Room of the Wooten Hotel. Handwritten note at bottom of page by T. N. Carswell suggests a study of Foreign Relations during next several months.
