Mr. Moses touches upon some of the local news within his area by mentioning mutual friends before informing Mr. Bradford that his Ottawa residence has been destroyed in a fire resulting in the death of a Colonel. Finally, Mr. Moses mentions that he is elated that Mr. Bradford has joined the USAAF working in the oil fields that come under attack.
