The problem of this study was to prepare a comprehensive family living textbook for use by high school students. The primary purposes of the study were the following: (1) to provide teenagers with factual information concerning sexuality which will better equip them to make responsible decisions; (2) to prepare young people to become better marriage partners, better parents and ultimately to produce stronger families for the future.

Contingent reinforcement as an intervention to alter depressive thinking

The problem of this study is to determine the feasibility of using an operant treatment procedure to ameliorate several manifestations of depression. The purpose is to apply contingent positive reinforcement to the detection of nondepressive thoughts and to examine the effects of this procedure upon the frequency of nondepressive thoughts, idiosyncratic depressive manifestations, and scores on the Depression Inventory.

The purpose of this study were to provide fundamental ethnographic information about the Ticuna Indians and to determine to what extent the programs of bilingual education, administered among them by the Ministerio de Educación Pública del Perú and the Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL), had accelerated their integration into mainstream Peruvian Life.

This study is concerned with Michael Corrette (1709-1795) and his contribution to music pedagogy through seven of his extant string instrument treatises. Besides the translations from French into English, the dissertation includes an extensive commentary corroborating his information with ideas of other noteworthy, predominantly-French string writers of the period.
