Interview with Sally Bravo, second generation of Bermejo women, for the Mexican American Women's Educational Experience Oral History Project. The interview includes Bravo's recollections of schooling in Fort Worth, the scholastic structure of her home life, cultural expectations and limitations on education, and the meaning of high school graduation, as well as educational goals for children, the role in sending children to college, and the generational changes in educational goals. Interview with Ramon Ruiz, a civil servant of the Department of Education and advocate for Hispanic education from La Copita, Texas. Ruiz discusses his family history, growing up, school in Kingsville, local relations between Mexicans and white people, high school football, playing for North Texas State, becoming a coach for elementary school, joining the Job Corps, teaching inmates, working with school districts on desegregation in Texas, and work on various federal education programs in Washington with an emphasis on Hispanic communities and cooperation with Mexico. Sanford discusses growing up, his experiences in the Great Depression, being drafted and training, the New Georgia, Guadalcanal, Bougainville, and Philippine campaigns, being wounded and discharged, and life afterwards.

Interview with Navy veteran Alan A. Fouts. The interview includes Fouts' personal experiences while assigned to the Submarine Base during the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, and his subsequent service aboard the submarine USS Pogy in the Pacific Theater during World War II.

Interview with Arthur B. Dodge, Jr., a US Army WWII veteran from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Dodge recounts his service in M Company, 350th Infantry Regiment, 88th Infantry Division, which landed in Morocco and moved through Algeria in late-1943, before landing in Italy, where his unit took up position on the Cassino-Rapido-Garigliano front in March, 1944. Dodge describes prolonged skirmishing with German forces near Tremesuoli, Lazio, the breakout from Cassino, advancing into northern Italy, and finishing the war in the Po Valley.

Interview with Cece Cox, Executive Director of Resource Center of Dallas and longtime activist in the LGBT community. The interview includes Cox's personal experiences of childhood in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, her college years at Northwestern University, and coming out the family, friends, and co-workers. Cox talks about the awareness of her sexual orientation, the supportive reactions of family, her decision to move to Dallas, Texas for a job, her involvement in the Dallas LGBT community, thoughts on Texas Penal Code 21.06-the Sodomy Law, the struggle for gay men to receive AIDS treatment at Parkland Memorial Hospital, Dallas Gay Alliance's activism in AIDS treatment and care as well as in the struggle for equal treatment and human rights. Additionally, Cox talks about her impressions of Don Baker, Judge Jerry Buchmeyer and his decision to overturn penal code 21.06, changes in Dallas's LGBT community, family life, and Resource Center Dallas's history and services. Interview with Dr. Gerard Roland Vela, UNT Professor Emeritus of Microbiology. The interview includes Vela's personal experiences about childhood and education, serving in World War II-era U.S. Navy, having a fellowship at Harvard University, and joining the North Texas faculty in 1965. Additionally, Vela discusses his family history, his love of chemistry, genetics, and microbiology, the growing pains involved with transitioning North Texas into a research university, the construction of a research program, his relationship with students, and his service on the Denton City Council. Interview with M. T. Harrelson, a Texas National Guard WWII veteran and POW from Wichita Falls, Texas, who was a member of the 2nd Battalion, 131st Field Artillery (the "Lost Battalion"). Harrelson discusses National Guard training and operations before the war, deployment to the Pacific and diversion to Java, the Japanese invasion, surrender and initial confinement, internment at Tanjong Priok and Bicycle Camp in Batavia, transfer to Changi Camp in Singapore, and the end of the war.

Interview with Hazel Harvey Peace, a teacher and civil rights activist from Fort Worth, Texas, who was instrumental in expanding education for black citizens of the area. Peace discusses her parents, her education, becoming a teacher, working at various institutions over her life, books and entertainment growing up, her roll as a mentor, Fort Worth neighborhoods and the black communities, contemporary problems with integration and racism, admired leaders, her plays, her faith, and more.
