The purpose of this study was to determine whether emphasis on aesthetic development appeared to foster educational growth and desirable behavior development to a greater degree than did participation in a traditional-type program.

The purpose of this study is to make an investigation of the place of the social studies in an integrating curriculum with the objective of determining their value and ways and means of using the social studies to achieve integrating individuals. Attention is directed to the need and nature of an integrating program, to the values of the social studies as an integrating agent, and to ways and means of using the social studies in this manner.

"The purpose of this study was to formulate a recommended program to aid in the social integration of Latin-American and Anglo-American children in the secondary schools of Texas. In preparation for the development of this suggested plan, some of the more serious problems involved in the education of Latin-American children in schools designed primarily for the instruction of Anglo-American pupils were studied in available literature, and a set of psychological, sociological, and democratic criteria was formulated to serve as sound principles upon which to base the suggest program."--Leaf 1.
