Interview with Curtis O. Greer, Jr., a former member of the Civilian Conservation Corps from Fort Worth, Texas, regarding his experiences and memories of participating in the CCC during the Great Depression. An appendix with an outline for the interview is included.

Interview with Billie Joyce Towles, longtime resident of Weatherford, Texas, as part of the Weatherford Oral History Project. The interview includes Towles' personal experiences of childhood and education in Weatherford, Depression-era struggles, and living in Weatherford during World War II. Towles also discusses her father's work with the Works Progress Administration, marriage to Norman Towles, her family's switch from Democratic loyalty to Republican, her personal evolution on race issues, and religious devotion.

The interview includes his experiences as a leader in the American GI Forum, the Political Association of Spanish-speaking Organizations (PASO), and other Mexican-American social action groups. It also includes his opinions on the Delgado Case, the poll tax drives, the Texas gubernatorial campaign of 1962, and the Crystal City elections, 1963.

Interview with former Democratic Texas Senator A. R. Schwartz, an attorney from Galveston, Texas. The interview includes Schwartz's experiences as a member of the Sixty-first Legislature, as well as his personal views on issues such as one-year versus two-year budgets, revenue bills, welfare spending, constitutional revisions, urban-rural conflicts, minimum wages for migrant workers, education legislation, unrest on college campuses, and personal legislation. The former Senator's comments about Governors John Connally and Preston Smith are also included in the interview.

Interview with Dean M. McCall, Army Air Corps veteran and survivor of the siege of Corregidor. The interview includes McCall's personal experiences as a prisoner-of-war of the Japanese during World War II. McCall talks about the Japanese bombing of Nichols Field, the fall of Bataan, the fall of Corregidor and his capture, Bilibid Prison, hell ship to Japan, copper mining at Motiyama, Honshu, American air raids and naval bombardment, and liberation.

Interview with Thomas Whitehead, a Texas National Guard WWII veteran and POW from Wichita Falls, Texas. Whitehead discusses his experiences as a member of 2nd Battalion, 131st Field Artillery, the "Lost Battalion" captured on Java in March 1942, including: joining the National Guard; participation in the Louisiana Maneuvers; departure for the Philippines and diversion to Brisbane; assignment to Sangosari Airfield near Malang; the surrender of American forces; internment at Tanjong Priok and Bicycle Camp in Batavia, Changi Prison in Singapore, several camps on the Burma Railway, and Non Pladuk and Ubon Airfield, Thailand; and liberation.

Interview with Edna Gardner Whyte, a competitive pilot and flight instructor from Garden City, Minnesota. Whyte discusses her family history, her childhood and education, moving to Oregon, her initial interests in flying, her training in nursing, taking up flying, winning her first race, teaching others to fly, becoming a flight instructor full-time, Prohibition bootlegging, races, a crash, Amelia Earhart, the growth of women in aviation, service as a Army Air Corps nurse during World War Two, being a flying salesman, flying helicopters, and building the Aero Valley Flying School.

Interview with Ernest Kelley, a Texas National Guard WWII veteran from Antioch, Texas (now the Red River Army Depot), who served with the 112th Cavalry. Kelley discusses growing up in the Depression, joining the Guard, mobilization and training, horses, the Louisiana Maneuvers, deployment to New Caledonia, landing on Woodlark island and action there, the Battle of Arawe, redeployment to Australia, the Battle of Driniumor River in New Guinea, the Battles of Leyte and Luzon, returning to the United States, and reflections on his time in the Army. In appendix is a list of people and places named in the interview with lat/long coordinates, descriptions of military equipment, and the 112th's WWII service chronicle.

Interview with Hazel Harvey Peace, a teacher and civil rights activist from Fort Worth, Texas, who was instrumental in expanding education for black citizens of the area. Peace discusses her parents, her education, becoming a teacher, working at various institutions over her life, books and entertainment growing up, her roll as a mentor, Fort Worth neighborhoods and the black communities, contemporary problems with integration and racism, admired leaders, her plays, her faith, and more.
