Interview with Robert Bane, a Army WWII veteran from Garland, Texas. Bane discusses his family background, basic training, deployment to the Battle of the Bulge, General George S. Patton, experiences in combat with the 63rd Infantry Division during the drive into Germany, his comrades, crossing the Rhine, liberating Dachau, returning to the states, and his work with the Freemasons. In appendix is a photograph of Bane with his medals.

Interview with Louis Edgar Turcotte, Jr., a rancher from Sarita, Texas, regarding his family history, education, life as a rancher, cattle dipping, career as a foremen of the Kenedy Ranch, and oil drilling in the area.

Wallace, Jr., engineer and Army veteran (Quartermaster Corps Graves Registration Service-China Zone), concerning his experiences with Recovery Team No. 4 in the recovery of the remains of American military personnel in China, 1945-46. Appendix consists of letters, chronology, Separation Qualification Record, and extracts from various forms.

Interview with George E. Fortenberry, who is an Army veteran and college professor from Arlington, Texas. In the interview, Fortenberry discusses his experiences in the Southwest Pacific Theatre during his time as a member of the 112th Cavalry of the Texas National Guard during World War II. He also describes what it was like growing up during the Great Depression and attending various different schools in both Texas and Oklahoma. Fortenberry discusses why he decided to join the National Guard, and also his experiences in early basic cavalry training. During much of the interview, Fortenberry reminisces about many of his various assignments and duties while serving in the war. Among these discussed include his assignment as a clerk to the veterinary section, time in Fort Bliss and Fort Clark, his shipment overseas to Noumea in New Caledonia, his transfer to the Medical Detachment as a clerk, and his time in New Britain, New Guinea and the Philippines. Fortenberry also recollects about everyday life in the Southwest Pacific, and includes details on tropical diseases and combat-related psychological problems that many of his comrades suffered through.

Interview with Roy J. Grogan, longtime Weatherford resident and elected official, as part of the Weatherford Oral History Project. The interview includes Grogan's personal experiences of childhood and education in Weatherford, Depression-era struggles, enlisting in the U.S. Navy, and World War II. Additionally, Grogan talks about his studies at Weatherford College, Duke University, and Duke Law, his legal career with the FBI and as a land developer, his political career on the Weatherford City Council and Weatherford College Board of Regents, the integration of Weatherford schools, and his involvement in state party politics. Interview with farmer-rancher and community activist Grace W. Cartwright, originally from Wise County, Texas. In the interview, Cartwright recollects her early days in rural Texas as well as her student days at North Texas State Teachers College, marriage, early job positions, and her work in the agriculture and land conservation fields. Cartwright discusses her many successes as a community activist, such as her appointment to the Texas Tourist Board, Texas roads beautification, her appointment by President Harry Truman as a delegate to the White House Conference on Youth and Children, her role in the creation of a parks system in Weatherford, Texas, and several others.

Interview with postmaster and Army veteran J.D. Bradley. The interview includes Bradley's personal experiences about being a guard during the International Military Tribunal for the Far East in Tokyo after World War II, enlisting in the army, basic training, various assignments, guard duty in the court docks during the tribunal, and guarding Hideki Tojo. Bradley talks about rules and regulations for Military Police guards, steps taken to prevent suicides among the prisoners, the physical description of the interior of the courtroom of the War Ministry Building, checks for hidden weapons in the courtroom, courtroom procedures, various security procedures, steps taken to impress the Japanese people, living quarters and conditions at the War Ministry Building, relations with Japanese civilians, black market activities, his relationship with a Japanese correspondent and trading cigarettes for photographs of the proceedings, Sugamo Prison, and his commanding officer, Lt. Interview with Eleonore Greenfield, Germany-born immigrant to Weatherford, Texas, as part of the DFW Metroplex Immigrants Oral History Project. The interview includes Greenfield's personal experiences of childhood and education in Germany, escaping to Berlin from the Soviet army, and again to Bavaria, and marriage to an America GI. Interview with longtime resident of Cisco, Texas, Harriett Shelton Collins as part of the Eastland County African American Women Oral History Project. The interview includes Collins' personal experiences about education in Cisco's all-black, one-room Smithville Elementary School, her pregnancy and marriage to Bill Collins, working at the Boss Glove Factory, earning her GED, entering beauty school, and earning a degree as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
