Report describes the structural and stratigraphic framework, depositional environment, and petrology and petrography of the various Pennsylvanian-Permian time and rock units present in Oklahoma. This report identifies five geologic settings favorable for the localization of uranium, such as alluvial fan deposits, oil-productive structures where Permian sandstones are altered, tidal-flat sandstone-silstones, channel sandstones on gentle structural features, and oil-productive Cherokee sandstones.

From Purpose: "The White Sulphur Springs Quadrangle, in west-central Montana between latitude 46º and 47ºN. and longitude 110º and 112ºW. (Fig. 1), was evaluated to identify geologic environments and delineate areas that exhibit characteristics favorable for uranium deposits. Favorable environments, as determined by surface and subsurface investigations, are those that could contain uranium deposits of at least 100 tons U3O8 at an average not less than 100 ppm U3O8."

This report is one part of the second volume containing data on quadrangles of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana. This volume contains the detailed geologic summary, interpretation report, standard deviation maps, pseudo-contour maps, interpretation map, flight line and geologic base map, individual corrected profiles, computer map unit histograms and statistical tables for the Waco quadrangle in Texas.
