Interview with educator and university administrator Harve King from Farmersville, Texas. In the interview, King recollects his experiences as a student at the Frederick Douglass Colored School in Denton, Texas during the 1920's and 1930's. King comments on the school facilities, athletics, teachers, the "Three M's" singing group, and Professor Fred Moore. He also discusses his career in education and his philosophy as an educator.

Interview with Betty Kimble, an employee of Texas Instruments and community activist from Denton, Texas. Kimble discusses her education and family, growing up in Denton, the relocation of Quakertown and the development of new black neighborhoods, changing demographics and current issues, and community action in Southeast Denton. In appendix is a photo of the Denton County Courthouse, the Confederate Memorial, and a picture of students and teachers at the Fred Moore School in the 1930s or 40s, as identified in the interview by Mrs. Kimble.

Interview with Carl Denmon, African-American alumnus of North Texas State University. The interview includes Denmon's personal experiences about childhood in Houston, Texas and undergraduate education at Wiley College. Additionally, Denmon discusses his employment as band director at Fred Moore High School in Denton, graduate studies in Music and Education at NTSU, his career with and retirement from Dallas County Community College, and his perceptions of changes in Denton and at North Texas over forty years.

Interview with community activist Norvell Reed from Denton, Texas. In the interview, Reed discusses her experiences concerning the activities of the Denton Christian Women's Inter-Racial Fellowship during the 1960s and 1970s. She also comments on what life was like living in a segregated community, the desegregation of North Texas State College, the desegregation of public schools, Fred Moore public School, paving of streets in the African-American section of Denton, the group's social activities, the defeat of urban renewal, and the jobs program.
