Article describes how authors use state-of-the-art electron microscopy techniques to show that the magnetization reversal process in an Al0.3CoFeNi magnetic complex concentrated alloy (CCA), which is responsible for its coercivity, changes dramatically from a nucleation-type mechanism in the FCC+L12 state of the CCA. Their work reveals that heterophase FCC/BCC interfaces have a much stronger effect on coercivity than isostructural chemically ordered/disordered interfaces and provides a powerful guide to the rational design of microstructure to tune magnetic properties in both complex concentrated alloys and conventional magnetic alloys.

Presentation exploring book digitization practices and standards and share how they are implemented by the UNT Digital Projects Lab. With a large number of books flowing into their department, the authors decided to conduct research on the methods of scanning using the equipment and software available to them. This presentation reports on their findings and what factors went into deciding what type of books get scanned where and how. Results include changes to local digitizing standards and clarified workflows based on the types of books to be scanned. This presentation discusses the End of Term 2008 Presidential Web Archive. The University of North Texas (UNT) Libraries collaborated with members of the International Internet Preservation Consortium (IIPC) on the End of Term 2008 Presidential Web Harvest from October, 2008 to February, 2009. The project team archived 160,211,356 URIs during this collaboration, which became a research dataset for an IMLS-funded grant to investigate collection development using web archives. The project team analyzed the 10,318,073 PDFs and developed a retrieval and exploration system for collection developers interested in acquiring and developing born-digital collections from the End of Term Web Archive.

Article establishing the feasibility of producing localized ablation zones using microsecond pulsed microwave ablation (MWA) as an alternative to conventional continuous wave (CW) MWA. Results open the opportunity for developing a coupled MWA treatment and imaging system using pulsed MWA and microwave-induced thermoacoustic signals for real-time monitoring of MWA.

This presentation provides an overview of the End of Term (EOT) Web Archive. The EOT Web Archive program is a multi-institution effort that aims to comprehensively capture and save U.S. Government websites at the end of presidential administrations. Beginning in 2008, the EOT has thus far preserved websites from administration changes in 2008 and 2012. The collaborative program is currently preparing for the 2016 electoral season.
