This paper analyzes the quality and effectiveness of indexing terms – both authorized terms from controlled vocabularies and free-text keywords – used to succinctly describe the content of the electronic theses and dissertations (ETDs).

The handout consists of an example of a catalog record for a tabletop game (including genre terms), an authority record for a genre term, a reference to a list of genre terms for tabletop games, and a bibliography of works on genre terms.

The presentation described the process UNT's library has transformed authority control process into a largely automatic process with the help of vendors and specialized software. It was presented at the Cross Timbers Library Collaborative 2019 conference at Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas.

The presentations introduce the UNT Scholarly Works repository, how to submit items to the repository, and how items are processed; the second portion of the presentation focuses on Open Access at UNT and the goal of Open Access movement; and the final presentation highlights how to approach copyright and authors' rights and options available to authors.

The UNT Libraries: TRAC Conformance Document is designed to supplement and provide extended reference to the UNT Libraries’ TRAC Audit Checklist (Appendix A), which outlines the requirements of a Trusted Digital Repository. The self assessment of the UNT Libraries and its Digital Collections encompasses an evaluation of its associated policies, procedures, workflows, modelling, and technical infrastructure in the TRAC audit process.

This conference paper explores how what we perceive differs from what we believe. The authors bring three perspectives together with the aim of seeking meaning in our relationship with our natural “arena” through symbolic metalanguage:1) comprehending a gestalt approach to perception and narratives as metaphor; 2) gaining perceptual reciprocity to enhance our relationship with nature; 3) overcoming the obstacles of misinterpretation and unreliable narratives of the simulacra. It was presented at the 2022 Association of Philosophy and Literature Conference held May 25-28, 2022.
