Clark discusses joining the National Guard, training and maneuvers, deployment to the Pacific, the fall of Java and surrender to the Japanese, experiences in internment at Tanjong Priok in Batavia, internment at Changi Camp in Singapore, labor on the Burma "Death" Railway, and liberation. The interview includes an appendix with a reference page and a written flight log by Col. Tom Sledge.

Additionally, Balentine speaks about his family's economic difficulties during the Great Depression, undergraduate studies at North Texas as an Industrial Arts major, descriptions of student social life, his World War II service in an anti-battalion, returning to Kermit, courting and marrying Jeanette Smith, and descriptions of historic Denton County photographs. Interview with Arthur and Louise Caillet Dieterich, owners and operators of Hermosa Farms, Dallas, Texas. The interview includes the Dieterich's personal experiences about farming in Dallas, education, and establishing Hermosa Farms. The Dieterich's talk about their family backgrounds, Arthur's employment as operator of dairy cooperative with his brother in El Paso, Texas, the effect of the Great Depression on Dallas dairy businesses, milk processing and delivery operations, a typical day on a dairy farm, their change from retail to wholesale business, developing dairy herd, their cooperation with agricultural experiment stations, personnel practices, and civic and trade association activities. Roberts, a businessman and an Army Air Corps veteran (339th Bomb Squadron, 96th Bombardment Group, 8th Air Force), concerning his experiences as a prisoner-of-war of the Germans after being shot down over Nazi Germany during World War II. Roberts discusses the shooting down of his bomber (1944), his capture and interogation near Frankfurt, Heidekruge, East Prussia (1944), a prison camp near Berlin (1944), the forced march from Nürnberg to Moosberg (1945), prison camps at Nürnberg and Barth, and his liberation.

Stevenson concerning his experiences as a member (1929-1939) and Speaker (1933-1937) of the Texas House of Representatives, as Lieutenant Governor (1939-1941), and as Governor (1941-1947).
