Note presenting a description of an electrical apparatus that serves as a computer for the evaluation of linear strain measurements taken in rosette fashion on the surface of a structural element carrying tension or compression and shear. The solution of the strain circle is accomplished by coupled rotary transformers, one representing each of the rosette gages.
