Historical narrative about a war
Recording of a historical narrative. The speaker/narrator Abdul Malik (an 85-year old male farmer) talks to Abdul Rehman (an 80-year old male farmer) about a war that the nawab (ruler) of the former state of Amb, Nawab Farid Khan, waged on the neighboring state of Seeri because, apparently, its ruler had ousted one of his court nobles who happened to be a relative of the former. The narrator recounts the memories of his father who was an eye witness to the havoc that the forces of Nawab Farid unleashed on the people of Seeri when they attacked them at the early hours of the day break.

Retelling of the story of half headache
This is a religious legend about the spread of a certain disease (referred to as "half headache" because the pain affects one side of the head) in a certain village. In this legend, Prophet Moses put the "half headache" in pots and said that he would burn it. A villager asks him not to burn her and says that she will not return if he repeated the story seven times. The legend is narrated by Abdul Rehman (a 80 year old male) and the other speaker is Imtiaz Ahmad (a 31-year old male).

Retelling of the story of the thirsty crow
This is a retelling of the story of the thirsty crow by Akbar Khan (a 46-year old male teacher). Once upon a time, a crow was very thirsty. He flew in search of water and saw a pitcher. He sat on the pitcher to drink water, but the surface of the water was low and he could not reach it. He then gathered some small pebbles and put them in the pitcher one by one. Oral History Interview with Zayda Baron, September 29, 2020
The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with Zayda Baron. Baron was born in 1933 in the Philippines. Her father, Leon Oreonez, was the captain of a guerrilla unit. When the Japanese came to her home looking for her father, she fled and was separated from her parents for some time. Eventually, her older brothers worked at resisting the Japanese. When the war ended, Baron returned to school. She comments on the conditions of the Filipino populace during the Japanese occupation.

Oral History Interview with Roy Barrera, April 27, 2020
The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with Roy Barrera. Barerra grew up in Texas during the Depression and enlisted in the Army at 17 in 1944. He was assigned to the 6th Infantry Division and shipped out with the unit to Luzon in 1945. After the war, Barerra served in occupied Korea playing in the division band. He injured one of his finger badly and had to switch to playing trumpet. He used the GI Bill to finish law school upon being discharged in December 1946.
