Phelps interviews Tammye Nash on her experiences as a journalist working for The Dallas Voice. Nash speaks on her involvement with the court case of Mica England, a lesbian woman denied a position with the Dallas Police Department due to her sexuality. Nash speaks in depth on the state of Oak Lawn and Dallas gay and lesbian bars during the 1980s and 1990s. Nash and Phelps close by discussing the current state of LGBT rights in the state of Texas.

Oral History Interview with James Carnes, March 28, 2022
The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with James Carnes. Carnes joined the Navy in 1944 before he finished high school. In the Navy, he became a signalman and was assigned to USS Norton Sound (AVM-1). Carnes was aboard when the ship went to Okinawa, where he describes being attacked by kamikaze aircraft. When the war ended, Carnes went to Japan briefly before returning to the US and receiving his discharge.

Oral History Interview with Robert Warren, March 28, 2022
The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Robert Warren. Warren was born in Frisco, Texas in February 1921. After graduating from high school, he attended Texas A&M participating in the ROTC program for two years. Upon graduation in 1942 he applied for a commission in the United States Army Air Forces and was accepted. After participating in various stages of flight training, he was assigned as a C-47 pilot. Flying the Northern Route over Greenland, he joined the 439th Troop Carrier Wing, 94th Squadron, 9th Air Force in England. He tells of being involved in Operation Market Garden and of crossing the Rhine, where he pulled Waco CG-4 gliders, and of the Battle of the Bulge where he hauled fuel for General Patton’s tanks.

This is an interview about traditional health practices in the Lai community. The interviewee, born in 1979 is originally from Vomkua and speaks Thantlang, Falam, Mizo, Kawl, and Malay. Interviews were collected as part of the Linguistically Underserved Communities and Health (LUCAH) project, which aims to make health information more accessible and culturally relevant for the Chin refugee community in order to ensure that they are getting clear and accurate information.

Monologue on the advent of Sunni Islam in Zangskar
Ghulam Abbas describes Sunni Islam in the Zangskar region, beginning with the tale of a Leh king dispatching his son to govern Zangskar. In a poignant letter to his father, the prince pleads for his companion "Ju," a Muslim, to join him. This tale takes a pivotal turn when Ju, desiring halal meat, invites a Muslim butcher to Zangskar. The butcher’s eventual settlement and matrimony mark the beginning of the Muslim community in the region. Abbas also draws attention to the abodes of these early Muslim settlers, enriching the narrative’s depth. Recorded in Padum village, Ladakh Union Territory, India.

Oral History Interview with Clarence Griffith, July 28, 2020
The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with Clarence Griffith. Griffith was born in Granbury Texas in 1913. He worked as an electrician and volunteered for service in the Navy in 1943. He served with the Seabees in the 76th Naval Construction Battalion and went to Guam during the invasion. While there, his outfit built power stations.

Conversation while cleaning fishes
This is a recording of a conversation while cleaning fishes. There was some conversation between women who were cleaning fishes. In order to get natural data, Maaz goes near to them, sits, and starts recording without alerting them. Suddenly as few seconds pass, one of them alerts, and everyone takes a surprise! But a few moments later, they become comfortable with it. They then start imitating and mocking the far northern variety of Azamgarhi spoken in Dewārā, the flood plain area of the Ghaghra river in the northern part of Azamgarh.

Discussion of irrigation systems (in Urdu)
This is a discussion on the popular irrigation systems used in Azamgarh and nearby areas of Purvanchal, Uttar Pradesh state, before the invention of tube wells. This discussion briefly also extends to farming systems and agricultural tools. This discussion was primarily between the researcher and two residents of southern Azamgarh who were distant relatives to the researcher. It took place almost entirely in Urdu, whereas some background noises can be frequently heard in Azamgarhi.

Oral History Interview with Jerold Cox, August 28, 2019
The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Jerold Cox. Cox joined the Marine Corps in January of 1942. He served with the 1st Marine Division, 3rd Defense Battalion on Guadalcanal. He later served with the 2nd Marine Division, 3rd Anti-Aircraft Artillery (formerly Defense) during the Bougainville Campaign. Cox assisted with carrying ammunition and unloading the ships. He contracted malaria, and was sent back to the US around August of 1944 for recovery. He received his discharge in January of 1946.

Oral history interview with Finn Jones. Jones, who was assigned the sex of female at birth and lived as Stacy Jeanette Jones for 42 years, discusses his upbringing, his career in the Coast Guard, the discrimination he faced as a lesbian, especially as a service member under "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," his membership with the Metropolitan Community Church (MCC) in Fort Worth, founding Trans-Cendence International, and being the first trans person to run for a position in the Texas House or any legislative election in Texas.
