An aerial drawing of the Tower of the Americas and HemisFair '68 fairgrounds. Printed at the bottom of the image: "Tower of the Americas - Dominating the center of the 92-acre site of HemisFair 1968 in San Antonio will be this 622-foot tower. From the revolving restaurant and observation levels, 1,750 visitors an hour will view the surrounding countryside. The Texas World's Fair opens April 6, 1968."

The illustration pictures a mall-like arrangement, with stacked balconies on every floor opening up to the ground floor. The outer walls of the corridors would have displays and stores, much like shops at a mall. The ceiling has a roof-shaped skylight, bordered by opaque white concrete blocks on both sides from which potted plants are hung. Several businesspeople are depicted walking along the corridors and standing on the balconies.
