The activities of two Abilene art clubs, the Art Forum and the Abilene Art League are highlighted. The Art Forum theme for the year was "Art in Texas - Art in America." Traveling exhibits shown in Abilene and provided by Texas Fine Arts Association are described.

Several exhibit brochures of events held in Abilene are pasted to the book pages.

The program for the year was "Art for the Busy Woman." Meeting minutes, bylaws, and a section on finger painting are a part of this scrapbook. Other club news includes the Abilene Wednesday Club, one of the charter member clubs of the Abilene Federation. Federation teaching tools include a unit on "Famous Cathedrals." A Texas Centennial pamphlet is included in the Texas Federation section along with minutes and National Federation handouts.

This year the theme of study was "Art and the Business World." Miss A. M. Carpenter is listed as chairperson for art for the 6th District Federation and chairperson for American Art Week for Abilene. Included in the book are two journals: Federation News (July 1942) and College Art Journal (Vol. 1, No. 2, January 1942). In addition there is a listing of the art programs of the General Federation.

The cover of this album is from Federation News, May 1945. Miss A.M. Carpenter is listed as the chairman of the Art Unit. Memorabilia include catalogues and clippings of art shows in Abilene. One exhibit, sponsored jointly by the Abilene Museum of Fine Arts and the United States Marine Corps, was entitled "Combat Art" by Sgt. Sherman Loudermilk. This book contains clippings and postcards about Camp Barkeley, the World War II training camp established outside of Abilene, and the USO activities on Second Street.
