These interviews gathered information about collection policies and characteristics of born-digital publications that are incorporated into these bodies of materials, to inform future machine learning algorithms.

With a large number of books flowing into their department, the authors decided to conduct research on the methods of scanning using the equipment and software available to them. This presentation reports on their findings and what factors went into deciding what type of books get scanned where and how. Results include changes to local digitizing standards and clarified workflows based on the types of books to be scanned. It was presented at the 2023 Texas Conference on Digital Libraries (TCDL) held May 16-18, 2023 in Austin, Texas.

This poster explores the process and resources used to create subject metadata for The Chronicles of Oklahoma collection in The Gateway to Oklahoma History. The Chronicles of Oklahoma is a regional publication from the Oklahoma Historical Society that has been published since 1921. The UNT Digital Library is digitizing the back issues and making them available to the public through the digital library, The Gateway to Oklahoma History. It was presented at the UNT Libraries' 2023 Student Snapshots Symposium held in Denton, Texas and at the 2023 Texas Conference on Digital Libraries (TCDL) held May 16-18, 2023 in Austin, Texas.

This poster highlighting the development of machine learning model to automate part of the process of digitizing and archiving documents from the Texas State Depository Program. This particular part of the process is the sorting of documents to facilitate metadata creation. It was presented at the 2023 Texas Conference on Digital Libraries (TCDL) held May 16-18, 2023 in Austin, Texas.

It has been published since 1921, and in 2020, the Oklahoma Historical Society partnered with the UNT Digital Library to make the back issues freely available through The Gateway to Oklahoma History. Data management plan for the grant "Making Audio/Visual Digital Collections Content Accessible for All Texans." Project to improve audio/visual (A/V) content accessibility available through The Portal to Texas History at the University of North Texas Libraries. The project addresses the needs of Deaf and Blind users who often lack fundamental access for many A/V materials in digital repositories while also providing benefit to abled users and those with other special needs through efforts to transcribe, translate, describe, interpret, and chapter both research-oriented and primary-source A/V content.

Article explores dynamic fusion models to find, on the fly, the model or combination of models that performs best on a variety of document types. The experimental results show that the approach that fuses different models outperforms individual models and other ensemble methods on three datasets.
