A letter from Alfred F. Hurley, Chancellor, University of North Texas, to D. Jack Davis, Vice Provost, UNT, Co-Director of the North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts, about granting the North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts temporary exception from UNT's publication policies in regards to NTIEVA stationary and business cards. Hurley attaches a copy of the full policy and request a written rationale for a standing variance. The second document is a policy excerpt for the use of long-held symbols or artwork specific to a department of UNT. The third document is the start of the policy manual of UNT in regards to University Communication, Marketing and Publication Policy.

A North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts newsletter for the Fall Semester, 1999, Vol. 10 No. 3. The newsletter features an article, "Interdisciplinary Connections: School-Community Collaborations." This issues of NTIEVA newsletter will look at three successful school-community collaborations in the North Texas area. The Selby House restoration is a collaboration between North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts, the Elm Fork Education Center, and the College of Education at the University of North Texas. The second collaboration, the Oakhurst Elementary Japanese Garden project a partnership between Fort Worth ISD and Nagaoka, Japan. The third collaboration, the Amon Carter Museum - TETAC Schools Alliance is a program where museum educators are actively involved with public schools and teachers.

A North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts newsletter for the Fall Semester, 1996, Vol. 7 No. 3. The newsletter features an article, "Art History: Not Just Art In The Dark," Defining Art History. This newsletters examines art history as being one of the four foundational disciplines of discipline-based art education, along with art production, art criticism and aesthetics. Art history provides the historical context in which all artistic achievement is considered.
