Pamphlet written by the American Jewish Archives discussing the origin of the Archives and several historical stories that motivated the formation of these archives. They also discuss influential collections and the Jewish Periodical Center, which has every Jewish periodical published in America from 1823-1925. Last, they discuss history versus genealogy and include a passage explaining what the historical records do and how someone can help support the Archive of the American Jewish people.

Letter from I. H. Kempner to Adrian Levy, Jr. explaining that he found an old book, from around twenty-five years ago, sent to Kempner by Robert I. Cohen when he was president of the Congregation. He encloses it in case it may be of any importance to the library or archives of the Congregation.

Letter from John B. Henderson to I. H. Kempner thanking him for sending him Kempner's copy of "Select Letters of Harris Kempner" and updating him on who he was and was not able to talk to. Henderson also requested any "records, files, or correspondence" relating to Texas history that Kempner found that should be kept for preservation and study. A page with information about the General Land Office Building and a pamphlet about the Eugene C. Barker Texas History Center are also attached.
