Latimer mentions Governor Daniel's support for a bill concerning the State Archives building and discusses other building projects from previous sessions, including the construction of a new building for the State Courts, as well as his concern about funding such projects.

Richardson writes that he is disappointed with Latimer's response that all he can do is secure a small appropriation and legislative approval within one to two years. He emphasizes that a new building is badly needed as conditions in the current building are poor and the State Archivist is against moving the archives to a temporary building.
