Minutes from the February 16th 1988 meeting of the Denton ISD librarians and aides, discussing the work of the AV equipment bid list and policy manual revision committee as well as travel to TLA. The next meeting date was set for May 3rd, 1988.

Newsletter of the Newton Rayzor P.T.A. for January 1965. The newsletter includes information about the February meeting, how proceeds from fundraisers were being spent. One big project was $300 going to the library for new books and they expected to have their first librarian Mrs. Harry Teasley start work soon. The newsletter also expressed opjection to the "type of movies now being shown not only in Denton, but everywhere in the United States" and encouraging citizens to write to their congressmen concerning this issue.

Of particular interest to Denton ISD readers may be the article, "Region XI Schools Earn Blue Ribbon Status," which recognizes Strickland Middle School, among others.

It appears the information may have been collected from Reed Jackson. Text on the paper reads, "11-7- Reed Jackson 387-7344 Strickland opened for the 1968-69 school year. Closed lab school at end of '68 school year. All 7th graders were at Calhoun (Congress) for 68-69 in what is now the math building. All 8th & 9th graders at Strickland for '68-69. For 69-70 school year, Congress re-opened fully & district split grades 7, 8, 9 between the two schools. Reed says west wing was moved into at beginning of year - but library move could have been later. West wind addition, including library 1984 or 1985?"
