Letter from A.D. Kennard to his brother discussing his mother staying with Mr. Fanthorp. He mentions that his wife and children have been visiting in Houston. He shows his support for secession, he expresses wishes for the return of the "Lone Star Republic," and he discusses his unhappiness with a "Black Republican President."
