Again she wishes they were closer so she could help and asks that they write more often. She hopes that Aunt Mollie will recover.

She mentions Bettie's mother who is not feeling well.Dinkie wants to throw a party for Joe and Alice wishes Mollie and Mr. Moore could go. Mary Jane and Simeon have not married yet and Simeon talks of going to Texas. Alice now has the Texas fever and really wants to go. John Wallace and Susie Lore are talked about by the neighborhood of getting married. She asks Mollie to write her a long letter and to write back about Joe's trunk.

The author wrote to Jim B. on the thirtieth of May, Neel Jones and John Wallace also visited the author. She talks of how it rained in Billington when she visited and then she got a cold from it. [2]The author again is not feeling well and this prevented her from visiting Jim Wilson. She had dinner with Callie and Will.[3] Bettie had a headache and the author had eye problems. The author mentions that there are a lot of Veterans when she went to go get her eyes checked out. [4] There was a dinner party and many old friends showed up. [5] She stayed at Cooper's house for a night. Afterwards she was watching over a baby that got a fever. The author's uncle is thinking about moving back to Texas. [6]She continues to discuss the problems of her uncle going back to Texas. She then mentions that her eyes are becoming better. She was able to read some of her father's letters. [7]The author plans to visit some friends for 2 to 3 weeks. The author has some letters that she is carrying that need to be delivered and one of her friends has yet to deliver …

Circular No. 64. In order to make transfers of enlisted men from one regiment to another, the following papers should be made out: Quadruplicate must and descriptive rolls of the men, with a copy of the order transferring them attached to each roll, one copy to be forwarded to the Adjutant General of the Army, another copy to the Adjutant General of the Sate to which the men belong, another copy to be sent with the men to the respective regiments to which they are transferred. These rolls will contain the information indicated by the blanks for muster and descriptive rolls, including date, place and by whom mustered into the service. Each copy will be examined and verified and countersigned by the Commissary or Assistant Commissary of Musters for the command, and will be, when completed, evidence of muster-in and proper transfer.
