University Archives and their relationship with Campus records management
This poster highlights a project undertaken at the University of Houston by the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture and Design to select and transition records into the University's archives. The relationship between colleges or department and the University archives is examined, and the workflows necessary to ensure consistency through the transfer. The poster was created as part of coursework for INFO 5375 Archival Appraisal in Spring 2020 at the University of North Texas.

Exploration of Metadata Practices in Digital Collections of Archives with Arabian Language Materials
Article for a study aimed to develop understanding of the current state of metadata practices in digital collections of archival institutions in the Arabian Gulf region. It also explored perspectives (including attitudes and possible barriers) for development of large-scale regional portals that would facilitate discovery of Arab digital archives (including language collections) by aggregating metadata. Organization of knowledge and information in digital archives of language materials
This article reports the first empirical investigation of various dimensions of organization and representation of recorded knowledge and information in language archives. The study used a combination of semi-structured interviews and content analysis. Results demonstrate that, while some of the phenomena related to organization of information in language archives are specific to these types of archives, others are more typical and have been addressed by libraries in past research and practice.

Status of Historically Black College and University (HBCU) Archives
This paper explores the role of Historically Black College and University (HBCU) archives in preserving the history and cultural heritage of these institutions and investigates the factors that contribute to the disparities observed in the availability of digital collections and the staffing of archivists across HBCUs in the United States. Data was collected from 102 HBCU websites and the National Center for Education Statistics, and analyzed using descriptive statistics, chi-square tests, and ordinary linear regression. The findings revealed notable disparities in the staffing of archivists and the presence of digital archive collections, with geography, enrollment, and endowment emerging as potentially significant factors. The study highlights the importance of understanding key factors in the availability of digital archive collections and the staffing of archivists at HBCUs.

Connecting Communities with Libraries, Archives, and Historians Through Oral Histories
Data management plan for the grant, "Connecting Communities with Libraries, Archives, and Historians Through Oral Histories." The University of North Texas (UNT) Department of Information Science, partnering with the UNT Oral History Program, will host a series of forums to identify best practices and strategies to respond to challenges around building, implementing, preserving, and accessing community oral history projects. The project team will convene librarians, archivists, oral history practitioners, public historians, community-based memory workers, and others working in oral history to identify good practices, share challenges and lessons learned, and prepare an actionable roadmap for building, implementing, preserving, and sustaining community oral history projects.

Identifying Challenges for Information Organization in Language Archives: Preliminary Findings
Conference paper elucidates the issues facing language archive managers and users through two steps: content analysis of information organization in language archives, and semi-structured interviews with language archive managers and users. Investigation of Descriptive Richness of Free-Text Metadata in Language Archives
This presentation introduces language archives and analyzes item‐level metadata in three of them by focusing on free‐text metadata: the Endangered Language Archive, Pacific Regional Archive for Digital Sources in Endangered Cultures, and the Archive of the Indigenous Languages of Latin America. The study identified categories of information included in Description metadata fields and the relative distribution of these categories.
