This text contains the first portion of the Austin Papers, published as part of the Annual Report of the American Historical Association. This volume includes a preface by the editor with a general history of the Austin Papers and states, "The Austin Papers are the collection of materials accumulated by Moses and Stephen F. Austin in the progress of their busy enterprises from Virginia through Missouri and Arkansas to Texas. They consist of business memoranda, physiographical observations, petitions and memorials to local and superior governments, political addresses and proclamations, and much personal and official correspondence" (p. v).

Compilation of translated texts describing the explorations of Coronado and his companions as they traveled in Central American and parts of present-day United States, with some supplementary historical notes for context.

According to the preface, the documents include, "business memoranda, physiographical observations, petitions and memorials to local and superior governments, political addresses and proclamations, and much personal and official correspondence" (p. iii). Index starts on page 489.

This book contains a collection of speeches delivered by Governor Pat M. Neff. The subjects of those speeches include: the Constitutional Convention, the supremacy of the law, the educational system of Texas, the penitentiary system of Texas, building highways, industrial development, revision of tax laws, conservation, and reclamation. Also includes the inaugural address.

Volume 4 gives biographies of prominent Oklahomans.

It includes a preface by the editor with a general history of the Austin Papers and states, "the documents here published continue...to shed much light on the conditions and motives which led to emigration from the United States to Texas" (p. vii). Volume 1 covers the history of Oklahoma from prehistoric times to the 1880's with special emphasis on Native Americans and the use of Oklahoma as the Indian territory. Also includes information on geography and natural features.

Volume 2 covers the history of Oklahoma from the mid-19th to early 20th centuries. Includes information on railways, the cattle industry, the opening of Oklahoma lands and the push for statehood.
