Funk discusses the Normandy invasion (1944), the shooting down of his bomber and his capture in France on October 12, 1944, his interrogation at Dalag Luft, Wetzlar, Germany, Oberursel, Stalag Luft 3-A, Sagan, Stalag Luft 7-A, Moosburg, forced marches, and his liberation by American troops.

Interview with William Holston concerning his experiences before, during, and after his employment in the Civilian Conservation Corps during the Great Depression. Holston worked at a camp in Powers, Oregon. Includes an appendix.

He also comments on Janis Joplin's performance, Canned Heat and B.B. King, the performances of Led Zeppelin and Spirit, and crowd behavior at the festival.
