The volume contains a view of history based on ten time-zones. The countries of the world and the achievements in varied fields of learning are scanned in such a way as to present a general overview. Within this overview are summaries of work in certain fields, and there are glimpses of single individuals and events.

The problem of this study was to isolate some of the characteristics of tenth-grade girls which may lead to early marriage. The characteristics studied were: sibling rank, influence of a broken home, parents* education and occupations, mental ability, aptitude, scholastic achievement, study habits and attitudes, and personal problems identified by the subjects. A further problem of the study was the effectiveness of each of the characteristics in predicting the marriage of high school girls.

The purpose of this study is to develop a Humanities program for use in the junior college curriculum. This program shall derive as much as possible from a stated foundation of philosophy and shall be in accord with conclusions already achieved from research in the humane sciences.

The purpose of the problem were 1) to determine the motivational content as represented by thema found in current basal reader stories and 2) to find differences, if any, between motivational content basal reader stories and findings of previous research.
