Pressbook documenting art events in Abilene, Texas, from 1937 to 1938 with emphasis on those of the Texas Federation of Women's Clubs Sixth District. This pressbook starts with a membership certificate to the Art Unit. Clippings and other documents during this year include minutes and information on the organization of the Abilene Fine Arts Museum and a copy of the constitution for the Fine Arts Association, including the by-laws, and financial records from 1939 to 1956. A collection listing from 1937 to 1957 of the art works purchased or donated to the museum and the prices paid is also in the book. The book also contains draft history of the Fine Arts Museum from 1937 to 1957 and a membership list of the Fine Arts Association and its charter members.
