Interview with Ildea Cutchall about her experiences as an employee of the Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant in Texarkana, Texas during World War II and the postwar years. Cutchall discusses the hiring procedures, the job assignments, safety precautions, social activities, swing shifts, race relations, relationships between the male and female workers, and the social and economic effects of the plant on Texarkana. Interview with Arthur and Louise Caillet Dieterich, owners and operators of Hermosa Farms, Dallas, Texas. The interview includes the Dieterich's personal experiences about farming in Dallas, education, and establishing Hermosa Farms. The Dieterich's talk about their family backgrounds, Arthur's employment as operator of dairy cooperative with his brother in El Paso, Texas, the effect of the Great Depression on Dallas dairy businesses, milk processing and delivery operations, a typical day on a dairy farm, their change from retail to wholesale business, developing dairy herd, their cooperation with agricultural experiment stations, personnel practices, and civic and trade association activities. The interview includes an appendix with a family history written by Louise Caillet Dieterich.

Frank Rollins, an oilman and a geophysicist, concerning his work experience with Petty Geophysical Engineering Company doing refraction seismic work; his employment with Geophysical Service, Inc.; doing reflection and refraction work in 1936; oil exploration in South America; work in oil field instrumentation equipment; work as a "computer" interpreting geological data; founding of Rayflex Exploration Company in 1948; technological developments for oil field exploration; geochemical surveying; the sale of Rayflex to Phillips-Eckhart in 1962; his work as a geophysical consultant; the application of oil field technology to national defense; German espionage activity in South America during World War II; and pro-German activity in South Louisiana during World War II.

Interview with J. W. Stoker, a cowboy from Weatherford, Texas. Stoker discusses his family and growing up, getting involved in the rodeo, traveling shows, being drafted into the Army and serving in Korea, celebrities he has worked with, the Six Flags Wild West Show, induction into the National Cowboy Hall of Fame, contemporary rodeos, his favorite acts, and reflections on his career. In appendix are two promotional photos of Stoker and his horse, and three of him performing.

Interview with Thomas W. Nance, a Texas National Guard WWII veteran from Dallas, Texas, who served with the 112th Cavalry in the Pacific. Nance discusses growing up and joining the 112th, working with horses, equipment used and organization, maneuvers at Fort Bliss, deployment to New Caledonia, operations on Woodlark Island, staging at Goodenough Island and the landing at Arawe, being wounded and evacuated, recovery and discharge, continued disability and experiences with VA hospitals, and reflections on the 112th as a unit. In appendix is the poem "Fiddler's Green," a list of places Nance served, descriptions of military equipment mentioned, and the 112th's service chronicle.

Interview with James H. Barclay concerning his experiences while employed by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the Great Depression. Barclay worked in camps in Monrovia, California and Waxahachie, Texas.

Interview with former U.S. congressman Martin Dies, Jr., an attorney from Lufkin, Texas. The interview includes Dies' experiences as a Texas politician and U.S. Congressman, 1931-49 and 1950-56, and chairman of House Committee on Un-American Activities during the New Deal. Also includes his personal views on communism.

Interview with Walter White concerning his experiences as a federal labor mediator and conciliator. White speaks of his his thirty-year career with the U.S. Conciliation Service and the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, as well as his early boyhood employment with International Harvester Company. He discusses the Depression and New Deal, the Kansas Employment Service, his employment with U.S. Potash Company and experiences with Mine, Mill, and Smelter Workers Union, and his employment with the U.S. Conciliation Service in 1942. White also explains labor-management relations during World War II, his personal experiences in the Omaha and Des Moines offices, the Taft-Hartley Act, the formation of Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, and the post-World War II labor unrest. In addition, White talks about his transfer to Texas, his personal philosophy concerning labor-management relations, personal experiences with and comments about James Hoffa, Sid Richardson, and John Connally, and Eugene Debs.

Interview with attorney Emory M. Spencer. The interview includes Spencer's personal experiences about being an attorney. Spencer talks about the development of the Coastal Bend area of South Texas 1920-71, cotton farming, Irish settlers and the Ku Klux Klan, gambling, the development of the Aransas County Airport, oil exploration, housing subdivisions, the Coastal Bend Regional Planning Commission, hurricanes, agriculture, property values, and prominent citizens of the county.

Interview with Ernest Kelley, a Texas National Guard WWII veteran from Antioch, Texas (now the Red River Army Depot), who served with the 112th Cavalry. Kelley discusses growing up in the Depression, joining the Guard, mobilization and training, horses, the Louisiana Maneuvers, deployment to New Caledonia, landing on Woodlark island and action there, the Battle of Arawe, redeployment to Australia, the Battle of Driniumor River in New Guinea, the Battles of Leyte and Luzon, returning to the United States, and reflections on his time in the Army. Interview with John R. Leber, a Army Air Corps WWII veteran from Wrightsville, Pennsylvania, who flew with the 317th Troop Carrier Squadron in the China-Burma-India Theater. Leber discusses enlisting in the Air Corps, training as an aircraft mechanic and becoming a crew chief, the C-46 and the C-47, deployment to India, flying over the Himalayas, living conditions, and continued service postwar. In appendix are handwritten letters of Leber from his time overseas.

Interview with Clarence Shockey, a farmer and former member of the Civilian Conservation Corps from Ridgeway, Texas, regarding his experiences and memories of participating in the CCC during the Great Depression.
