Final report regarding the National Logging Program for the National Uranium Resource Evaluation

This bulletin promotes the use of tractors on farms in the Corn Belt of the United States in order to increase agricultural productivity. It discusses the possible uses of tractors and the displacement of horses on farms.

Interview with John R. Leber, a Army Air Corps WWII veteran from Wrightsville, Pennsylvania, who flew with the 317th Troop Carrier Squadron in the China-Burma-India Theater. Leber discusses enlisting in the Air Corps, training as an aircraft mechanic and becoming a crew chief, the C-46 and the C-47, deployment to India, flying over the Himalayas, living conditions, and continued service postwar. In appendix are handwritten letters of Leber from his time overseas.

From Introduction: "The Hot Springs Quadrangle covers an area of approximately 18,500 km2 and is in southwestern South Dakota and northwestern Nebraska between latitudes 43º to 44ºN. and longitudes 102º to 104ºW. (Fig. 1). The quadrangle was evaluated at the surface and in the subsurface to a depth of 1500 m to identify geologic environments and delineate areas that exhibit characteristics favorable for uranium deposits."
