This is a panoramic group photograph of members of the Pineland CCC camp in 1933. This image appears to have all the members of the camp, including the African Americans, who pose on the far right of the image. Behind the men are the tents that were used to house the men who enrolled in the CCC. The image is marked, "CCC Co. 893, Pineland, Texas, Aug. 1933, 1st Lt. Geo. E. Burritt F 2nd F. A. , BRG ComDG." The photograph has a makers mark, but it is not clear enough to read. The photograph was taken during one of McCann's two six-month tours in the Civilian Conservation Corps located in Pineland, Texas during the Great Depression.
