Letter from David Adame, Governor of Texas District Eight, to all League of United Latin American Citizens in District Eight in Texas asking all of the members in District Eight to attend the Texas District Eight Convention on May 29, 1955 at the Y.M.C.A. at 1600 Louisiana, Houston, Texas. Adame informs all of the members that there will be a minimal fee and that the attendance of District Eight members is imperative for the continued success of District Eight: "Lulac District Eight in Texas has always been a good district and now is the BEST and the LARGEST in MEMBERSHIP." The convention would host the election of District Governor for District Eight and would have in attendance: Frank Pinedo, Felix Tijerina, Alfred Hernandez and John J. Herrera.

So I'm catching the 11:30 A.M. bus out tomorrow so I can register for classes & begin the next day. Having a Corona on you all fellas. Wish me luck, I need it. DMH." The front of the postcard has images of four buildings in San Luis Potosi, identified on the reverse as Teatro de La Paz/La Paz Theatre, Plaza de los Fundadores/The Founders Square, La Caja del Agua/The Water Box, and Palacio de Gubierno/Government Palace.
