Adame informs all of the members that there will be a minimal fee and that the attendance of District Eight members is imperative for the continued success of District Eight: "Lulac District Eight in Texas has always been a good district and now is the BEST and the LARGEST in MEMBERSHIP." The convention would host the election of District Governor for District Eight and would have in attendance: Frank Pinedo, Felix Tijerina, Alfred Hernandez and John J. Herrera.

Apparently this newspaper article was an open letter in which segregation issues were discussed. The American Legion Post members felt that an answer should be written in response and were turning to LULAC for advice.
