High statistics study of omega$sup 0$ production at 6 GeV/c
The spin-projected cross sections for $omega$$sup 0$ production at 6 GeV/ c were measured in a counter-spark chamber experiment at the Zero Gradient Synchrotron of Argonne National Laboratory. Results are presented for a sample of 25,000 $omega$$sup 0$ events, and critical tests are shown for any residual background. The reaction is dominated by the s-channel natural-parity helicity one projection (rho$sub 11$ + rho/sub 1-1) dsigma/dt which shows a turnover in the forward direction and no strong dip at t = 0.6 (GeV/c)$sup 2$. The unnatural- parity helicity-zero cross section rho$sub 00$ dsigma/dt shows no forward turnover suggesting a sizeable helicity-nonflip contribution. Comparisons are made with the predictions of a Regge exchange model with absorptive corrections. (auth)

Gas-chromatographic fractionations of stable isotopes of carbon and oxygen in carbon dioxide
A high-precision gas chromatograph was used in conjunction with a quadrupole mass spectrometer and an on-line computer to study the fractionation of carbon and oxygen isotopes in carbon dioxide on two solid adsorbents and on a variety of liquid phases. For adsorption studies, the relative retention is reported as a function of temperature on Porapak Q and silica gel. On the former, $alpha$ values are on the order of 1.0027 +- 0.0001 (standard deviation) for the carbon isotopes and 1.0011 +- 0.0002 for the oxygen species, while on silica gel, the values are 1.0031 +- 0.0004 and 1.0050 +- 0.0008, respectively. Differential thermodynamic data are reported. Using diethanolamine and polyethylene imine columns in gas--liquid chromatography, greater fractionation was found. However, column bleed and decomposition of the liquid phase were serious problems. (auth)

Attitudes of Selected Resident Undergraduate Military Veterans Toward Selected Campus Organizations at a State University
The problem of this study was to determine and report the attitudes of selected undergraduate military veterans toward selected campus organizations at North Texas State University. The purpose of this study was to provide a basis for evaluating and possibly improving the campus organizations at this university. As a result of this study, it was concluded that the majority of responding veterans had very little knowledge concerning the majority of campus organizations. It was concluded that the majority of responding veterans preferred the miscellaneous type of organizations as opposed to the national honorary and professional, departmental, and social types. It was also concluded that all the responding veterans stated the overall groups of campus organizations were between "good" and "fair," and felt they needed help from their advisors about the organizations on this campus.
