This volume of the Journal contains the full documentation for the third and fourth called sessions of the Texas House of Representatives. This includes the proceedings of the House of Representatives of Texas (legislation, reports, discussions, votes, and points-of-order) as well as the appendix information (the history of bills and resolutions passed by the Texas House of Representatives and the Senate and information about the authors of legislation). The Journal contains the proceedings of the Senate of Texas including legislation, reports, discussions, votes, and points-of-order. Some volumes also contain supplementary materials.

The General and Special Laws of Texas contain the text of Texas legislation including laws, resolutions, statutes, amendments, and vetoed bills. The records include legislation from the Senate and House of Representatives as well as joint legislation organized by chapter.
