From Purpose and Objectives: This study was made primarily to provide a means to depict and forecast stream quality based on known causative or apparent correlative factors.

Statistical data and symbol plots for uranium and uranium-related variables are presented for 471 groundwater and 342 stream sediment samples. From introduction: In this report, two programs have been developed for use in managing data derived from an aquifer thermal-energy storage (ATES) project being done by the University of Minnesota. Data are generated from temperature and pressure measuring devices that are read automatically by a datalogger. Up to 100 channels can be scanned every 10 seconds and recorded on magnetic tape or printed as paper output. Time period of up to several years of data may be represented on a single tape.

From Introduction and Summary: "Reports from operating companies showed that 25,715 men worked at coke ovens in 1951, about 6 percent more than were employed in 1950 and, except in 1943, the largest work force since 1930, when 28,139 men were employed. The work time for all employees was 70,190,493 man-hours. The returns indicated an average of 344 work days per man as compared with 341 days in the previous year. Accidents at the ovens resulted in the death of 10 and injury to 768 workers, both of these figures representing fewer injuries than in 1950."
