The problem of this study was the relationship of health knowledges to health practices of college freshmen at North Texas State University.

The problem of this study concerned the difference in relationships between major teaching behaving styles and dominant personality interests expressed in values.

The concept of level of aspiration bears directly on goal setting behavior; it is a convenient and important variable in understanding human motivation in a variety of situations. Thus it was the purpose of this study to investigate the relationships between levels of aspiration and the psychological needs of achievement, dominance, autonomy, change, and aggression.

This problem was a study of the relationship between (a) competency in shorthand accuracy and achievement in shorthand dictation and (b) competency in shorthand accuracy and measured intelligence.

The present study was designed to investigate, in an academic situation, the relation between achievement motivation--a "wish to master" or "desire to do well"--and certain psychological needs by the use of two psychometric instruments. This research study was undertaken to add a new dimension to studies concerned with the relationship between the National Teacher Examinations and teaching success. Since the National Teacher Examinations have become such a widely used measure in the teacher certification process, and particularly because of the apparent movement toward the adoption of the National Teacher Examinations as part of the teacher certification process in the State of Texas, it was desirable to investigate their value as an instrument for the prediction of success in teaching.

This research had three main purposes. The first was to determine some of the major characteristics of elementary teachers. Second was to see how student teachers and supervising teachers perceive the importance of certain characteristics of elementary teachers. The third was to discover what changes result in the perceptions of student teachers as to the importance of these characteristics after completing student teaching.

The purpose of the present study was to further investigate the effects of motivation on the intellectual attainment of Negro children. In view of previous research and realizing the importance of related study on inventive and achievement, the following hypothesis was proposed: Inducement of motivation between pre-and post-administrations of Form A of the Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test would result in significantly greater magnitude of change in scores for the experimental group of Negro children than for the control group.

The problem of this study was to measure the effect of group counseling on visual imagery and selected personality factors of junior and senior level secondary school students. The purpose of this study was to determine if perception of visual images changed after group counseling. Also investigated was whether a concomital relationship existed among the perception of visual images and the self-concept, ascendance, and sociability.

The problem of this study was the prediction of aggressive, submissive, and normal student teaching behavior by the use of needs profiles from sociometrically defined groups of education students. The criteria profiles were constructed using beginning education students, and prediction was made on a student teaching population.

The problem of this study was to determine the relationship between self-concept, expressed sexual knowledge, and attitude toward sex education of a group of experienced elementary teachers. A second dimension of the problem was to investigate the relationship of the three variables above with certain other factors that could possibly influence the effectiveness of the elementary teacher of sex education.
