Article discussing competencies required for digital curation. The results of the analysis show that digital curation jobs are characterized by a complex interplay of various skills and knowledge. The findings of this study present emerging requirements for a qualified workforce in the field of digital curation.

Conference paper elucidates the issues facing language archive managers and users through two steps: content analysis of information organization in language archives, and semi-structured interviews with language archive managers and users. Primary challenges identified include lacking institutional support and a range of factors which impact authority control in language archives. This version is the author's accepted manuscript.

Presentation based on the preliminary results of research into information organization in language archives. This looks at the background of language data and archives, their research questions, archives that were analyzed, their findings, and next steps.

Presentation on the long term preservation of and universal access to language data which may tap into typologically rare phenomena and which represents the intangible and irreplaceable heritage of indigenous communities. This language data can be in the form of audio, video, picture, and various digital formats. In order to prepare the source files of a documentation project for ingest to a digital library, linguists and digital librarians must develop a common procedure that takes into consideration (1) provenance and varying formats of materials and (2) necessary metadata specific to linguistic datasets.

This article reports the first empirical investigation of various dimensions of organization and representation of recorded knowledge and information in language archives. The study used a combination of semi-structured interviews and content analysis. Results demonstrate that, while some of the phenomena related to organization of information in language archives are specific to these types of archives, others are more typical and have been addressed by libraries in past research and practice.

Data management plan for the grant, "Improving Student Learning While Decreasing Bias in Teaching Through Simulation." Research on the simEquity project which will implement a scalable model for developing equitable, culturally responsive teaching practices through simSchool, a simulated teaching environment. The project will identify best practices to help teachers recognize and mitigate implicit biases that often impact student success. The project team will iteratively develop and test a Teaching without Bias curriculum and an AI-driven set of bias reduction tools that can be added to existing simulation instruction modules.

Data management plan for the grant "Raise Up Radio: Family and Youth Engagement in Library Supported Learning Via Radio." The University of North Texas and the University of Alabama, in partnership with the Pottsboro Area Library and the Tuscaloosa Public Library, will develop a program called "Raise Up Radio: Family and Youth Engagement in Library Supported Learning Via Radio" to address educational inequities that became even more pronounced during the COVID-19 pandemic and create a professional network of librarians who use radio broadcasts. Over two years, six libraries serving high-need rural communities in Texas and Alabama will each implement a total of four, five-week educational programs delivered over local radio stations. The program will leverage existing community resources to create accessible educational content through collaborative partnerships. It will connect libraries, museums, and educational institutions with students in rural communities through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) content. Local youth and families will develop these new radio programs using best practices for equitable youth and family engagement in learning. Data management plan for the grant "School Librarians Facilitating the Success of English Language Learners." Grant for the University of North Texas Departments of Information Science, Learning Technologies, and Linguistics, in partnership with the International Association of School Librarians, to hold a forum about building the capacity of school librarians to provide services for English language learners (ELLs). The forum will convene contributors from the school library community and ELL stakeholders, such as linguists, ELL community members, public librarians, educational technologists, teachers, and school administrators to explore strategies and best practices for teaching ELLs.

Data management plan for the grant, "Collaborative Research: Diversifying Human-Centered Data Science through the Research and Design of Ethical Games." This project studies collaborative learning in a virtual setting for groups of peers with conflicting methodological cultures and diverse backgrounds. An additional artifact of this two-year, interdisciplinary project will be a prototype of an educational game, targeted towards the underrepresented communities and the greater public, that will bring more people into critical conversations about the roles of AI and data science in our society. Data management plan for the grant, "Students Data Literacy Needs in Community Colleges: Perspectives of Libraries, Students and Faculty." The University of North Texas will conduct an 18-month planning project to examine the current perspectives of community college librarians, faculty, and students regarding data literacy; identify the data literacy competencies needed for community college students; and develop data literacy action plans for community college libraries to assist community college librarians in assessing their capability and creating a road map to incorporate data literacy into their existing literacy programs. The findings of this project will identify the role and position of community college libraries in facilitating and enhancing the development of the data literacy competencies of students.

The objectives of the grant are to Enhance the education quality and broadening the participation of Hispanic undergraduate students in Computing through new pedagogy adoption, cultural transformation, and offering guided research opportunity for students.
