An album documenting the development of Lake Abilene, the second of several reservoirs built to insure water for the growing city of Abilene, Texas. The album mostly deals with land sales related to that project. The Sayles family owned a ranch that was impacted by the lake and the family was intimately involved with the lake development.

Letter from M. K. Weitzel to Truett Latimer discussing his switch between different soil and water conservation agencies and the organizational progress the Trinity Improvement Association has made. He then asks to meet with Latimer soon to discuss the future of the program. Names of higher up members of the Trinity Improvement Association are listed on the back of the letter. The bottom of the letter is labeled, "answered 9-27-54".
