Folding fan. Guards and sticks of lightly carved ivory (bone?) with scrolling foliate designs. The leaf is of white lace. Sticks are unadorned on the reverse. No visible labels, marks or signatures. Fan has alternately been identified as Irish lace or machine-made lace, and dated 1830's or 1880-1899.

Child's dress of taupe cotton/silk trimmed in turquoise silk. Flair silhouette with dropped, pleated waist having hip belt effect, and pleats at hem and down center front. Center back opening with 7 turquoise silk covered buttons and tailored buttonholes. Short sleeves with lace at hem. Squared neckline. Lined in brown mercerized cotton.

Pair of wedding slippers of ivory kid leather. The shoes are designed with rounded toes, and have a large matching bow with layered ends, and a large ruffle of same across vamp. Uppers are edged with satin ribbon. Modified Louis or Cuban heel, flaring at base.

Burnoose-style cape of lavender wool flannel. Mid-skirt length front and back, rounded at bottom to be shorter on each side. Fitted at shoulders. Attached hood gathered around face by use of ribbon ties woven through satin bound buttonholes around border of hood (ribbon missing). Center front opening and hem are trimmed with wide band of pastel green cording in scroll design. Closure of matching satin ribbon ties at neckline. Lined in pastel green satin.

Infant's cotton dress with shirred bodice and lace and tucks.

Ensemble of green and blue plaid cotton with collar and buttons of navy blue velvet. Ensemble consists of: A) Bodice. Waist is fitted with fastening of nine velvet covered buttons and tailored buttonholes, snap at neckline and two hook&eyes at hem. High stand-up collar of velvet. Long sleeves gathered with feather stitching; 6" fitted cuffs. Lined in brown polished cotton. B) Skirt. Full length; gathered on 1" waistband of black cotton with closure of two hook & eyes. Back panel for bustle has waistband of brown polished cotton and ties. One slit pocket at right side seam. 24" waist. Unlined.

Infant's dress of fine batiste cotton with broderie anglaise. Yoke has attached 4"ruffle of broderie anglaise with insertion lace and pink satin ribbon. Long sleeves have insertion lace cuffs and pink satin ribbon. Full length. No labels in garment.

Pair of plum purple satin pumps. The shoes are designed with a rounded toe, and plain uppers. The low heel is of a modified Louis or Cuban style, set in, and covered with matching fabric. Partly lined in white kidskin leather.

Pair of boots or "high button shoes" of black leather.

Bustled skirt of brown, red and black silk with velvet roses woven in.

Receiving cap made of white muslin with white lace in front at bottom rim and at center back.

Petticoat of white cotton batiste with double ruffle of machine made filet lace at skirt hem. Slightly trained. Hook & eye closure on 1/2" waistband.

Scarf/shawl of black china silk with dark brown chain knotted fringe on ends. Possibly a mourning shawl. Approximately 13 1/2" wide.

Baby booties of red leather with quilted red silk upper; lace up closure with red laces; 11cm length.

Fachon bonnet of black lace with dark maroon velvet bows in front. Worn by older women.

Cream colored flannel petticoat with floral and leaf embroidery. (Top missing). Handmade & hand embroidered border at hemline. Piece of fabric from which the petticoat was made. Size: for young girl or small woman.

Baby booties of black leather with scalloped 5 button closure and leather soles; 11cm length.

Man's vest of navy blue houndstooth wool. Single breasted with closure of six buttons; four welt pockets. Lined in white cotton; backed in black satin with half-belt (buckle missing).

Ladies lace-up boots of tan leather with Louis heel. Tag on heel: “1730”

Golden beige faux fur beret style hat with black velvet trim and matching golden faux fur ties. Lined with black velvet; Ties trimmed with cream lace.

Chemise of white cotton batiste with inserts of bands of lace create a bib, round open neckline trimmed in lace with beige ribbon gathering volume, ribbon tied at center front, sleeveless with armscyes trimmed in lace, knee length.

Chemise of white cotton batiste with lace bib insert of lightweight cotton and floral whitework (reminiscent of a handkerchief) surrounded by lace inserts following shape of bust, round neckline trimmed in lace with pink ribbon gathering volume, sleeveless, knee-length.

Day cap of cream lace, pale green moire silk, and 1/4" black velvet ribbon. Pointed over forehead, lappets fall at sides of face, ends of lappets trimmed with knots of ribbon.

Purse of teal crochet/knit with white, light grey, brass and steel cut beads; 2 silver rings in center. Miser's purse with rectangular ends. Number tag on interior of bag: 65.30.2 Measurements: 23 cm total length and purse width of 6.5 cm.
