The image shows the men standing in a line outside the cafeteria. The man on the left is holding a small child while looking directly at the viewer. Another man on the right is looking towards the viewer's left. There is a sign posted in the window of the cafeteria behind them that identifies the day’s special as "Meatballs and spaghetti." Stamped in red ink on back of photo is the date "Jun 4 1964". This is one of many surveillance photos taken by the Dallas County Sheriff's Department during the month-long civil rights protest at the Piccadilly Cafeteria in Dallas, Texas, in 1964.
