[Pastor Kenneth Carmichael and his Family]

Two photographs, one of Pastor Kenneth Carmichael with two women inside a church, and a second of the Pastor's children. In the top photograph, The woman on the far left has been identified as Dorothy Carmichael, the Pastor's wife. She wears glasses and a light-colored dress with a tie. Next to her is Wanda Swendsen Plentl, who served as organist for the church. Pastor Kenneth stands on the far right behind a wooden pulpit. Behind them, a candelabra and a few bushes can be seen. The bottom photograph shows two of Pastor Carmichael's children, Suzanne and Scott. A third child is on the far right, identified as Janet Christensen. They are all seated on a bed with thick wooden posts. A window can be seen in the background.

Photograph of a group of people at a railroad depot. The group consists of four men, five women, an infant child, and a young boy. They are dressed casually and standing just outside of an overhang visible on the leftmost top part of the image. Behind the group, there are a series of buildings serving various business purposes. Only one of them can be identified specifically, however; a building in the background that has a sign in the front indicating it is a dairy company. The sign also indicated this photograph was taken in El Campo, TX. The 2nd man from the left is believed to be Anton Anderson and the man on the far right has been identified as Andrew Jensen.

Copy print of a group of adolescent boys and girls at their confirmation in front of the Danevang Lutheran Church. The structure behind them has two double-hung windows and horizontal siding. A concrete step can be seen on the leftmost part of the image where a young child stands holding to a railing. The girls and boys are dressed in formal attire in similar cut dresses and suits, respectively. In addition, they all have small corsages pinned to their chests. From left to right, they have been identified as Holger Thyssen, Norma Carlsen, Rodger Andersen, Elaine Hansen, Pastor Vaghn Duus, Jergen Gann, Louise Hansen, and Erling Smith.

First Auto in Danevang

Black and white photograph of a family of 9 sitting in an early model automobile, which was the first automobile in Danevang according to accompanying information. The parents are situated in the front seat; the mother, who wears a long dress, holds an infant on her lap while the father, who wears a shirt, tie and a hat, holds the steering wheel with one hand and smiles at the camera. Six of the children are settled in the back compartment of the car. The eldest child holds a younger sibling in her lap and smiles at the camera. The car, whose entire left side is visible, is parked directly beside the exterior of a building that has one noticeable curtained window. Foliage is discernible behind the children in the backseat.

[Berndt Family Sitting on a Porch]

Black and white photograph of the Berndt family, seated on the porch of a house with wood-siding and support posts. The parents, Helvig Berdt and Laura Berndt, are seated in the center around their children. Helvig is wearing a bow tie, a white shirt, suspenders ad pants. Laura is wearing a long, white dress with a dark sash around her waist. Their youngest child Meta is sitting on a chair, holding her doll, directly in front of the parents. Two of their daughters, Ingeborg and Marie, stand on either side of the parents in plaid dresses.
