[Small Group of People]
In this photograph, there are four adults and a child sitting together in a group. To the left, there are two young women sitting in the back and an older woman sitting directly in front of them, leaning against their knees. The third woman is facing a man who is also sitting in the back and a little girl sitting in front of him. All of the people in the group are dressed up; the women are wearing dark-colored dresses and hats. The man is wearing a suit and tie and a hat. The little girl is wearing a dress with a plaid pattern. The two younger women are holding bottles and the man is holding a third bottle and is pouring it into a glass. Behind the group is a wall made of bricks. An accompanying handwritten note reads, "Left to right: ? , ? possibly Mrs. Augustus Julius Bogel, Sr. (W. W. Bogel's mother) of Shreveport, La. (visiting), Mrs. W. W. Bogel (Sarah Newton), W. W. Bogel (William Woodworth), the child ? possibly Jessie Bogel - oldest child of W. W. and Sarah Newton Bogel."

[Marfa Family]
In this photograph, several people are standing on an unpaved road against a wooden fence which encloses a house and yard. In the foreground there are seven people, from left to right: a young boy dresed casually; an older gentleman dressed in a suit and tie holding his hat at his side; a young child dressed in white sitting on a fence post and being held by a woman in a white dress; a second woman, also in a white dress and holding a baby; and another man, also dressed in a suit and tie, wearing a hat and standing in the yard (on the other side of the fence). Behind them, the house is built out of bricks and has a small porch with white pillars, a chair, and some plants in containers. A barrel and some indistinguishable items are visible in the yard and at the back of the house.
