Letter from John B. Henderson to I. H. Kempner thanking him for sending him Kempner's copy of "Select Letters of Harris Kempner" and updating him on who he was and was not able to talk to. Henderson also requested any "records, files, or correspondence" relating to Texas history that Kempner found that should be kept for preservation and study. A page with information about the General Land Office Building and a pamphlet about the Eugene C. Barker Texas History Center are also attached.

The Texas State Historical Association Quarterly Report includes "Papers read at the meetings of the Association, and such other contributions as may be accepted by the Committee" (volume 1, number 1). These include historical sketches, biographical material, personal accounts, and other research. Index is located at the end of the volume starting on page 561.
