Lecture given Wednesday, September 20, 2006, 2:00 PM at Abilene Christian University: "ACU's founders were clearly members of the Churches of Christ, yet the documents they wrote to bring the school into existence opposed defining the college as serving any one group; it was to be simply a Christian school. This lecture looks at the founding documents of ACU as well as other Christian colleges formed in the 19th and 20th centuries to see how they defined themselves and how that can inform who we are today."

This series of classes examines the nature of the study, what we have learned about our congregations, and how the survey can be useful in the local church."

Special attention, including actual examples from churches, will be given to Web site production, worship support technologies and media creation. The workshop will be led by George Saltsman from ACU's Adams Center for Teaching Excellence. Bring both your questions and experiences and share with others who work week in and week out to make technology serve the work of the church."
