[Letter from Jeff Davis to T. N. Carswell - March 16, 1943]

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas, from Jeff Davis, Executive Secretary, United Texas Drys, dated March 16, 1943. Davis advises of the changes in the Curfew Bill making it a "farce" and, therefore, requests that they write to their representatives urging them to support the amendment with an eleven o'clock closing hour and no sales on Sunday.

[Letter from Jeff Davis to T. N. Carswell - February 16, 1942]

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas, from Jeff Davis, Executive Secretary, United Texas Drys, dated February 16, 1942. Davis complains about the lack of communication from Pastors after services are held in their churches, advises that their Executive Committee approved the plan that they had discussed with Dr. Jenkens when in Abilene and notes an enclosed check to Carswell for reimbursement for his Belton trip. In postscript, Davis requests Carswell's opinion regarding asking Merkel, Tuscola and Caps to join their field day at Abilene.
